Something similar was my reason to short. The day before I said that I expect the buy the dip crowd to come in today. Then, how successful they are will define which way we'll go the following day. We had a big rise in the first half of the day, but by the close most buyers were in the red. So I figured that the odds favor a short sell. There's still a lot that could change this week and next. I will play it carefully. But my expectation is for the inflation number to disappoint.
