That was probably once true. However, speaking as a tax Accountant in a former life, it's probably not anymore. The advent of computer software such as Tax Act, Turbotax, and others makes tax prep relatively simple for even the more complex individual tax returns if you spring for their deluxe package.

Its pretty difficult to screw up too much using them as they are generally that good!
