Life is not fair, cost comparison is what it is, not what it should be. It's like AMZN not having to charge state sales tax when it started out. AMZN launched in 1994 and didn't collect state sales tax until 2017. This gave it a instant 7% advantage over brick and mortar and guaranteed its success. Who made up this tax shortfall? No one.
