Free market? Just ignore the actual science?
Unlike policy makers, woke "researchers," and activists like sAiNt gReTa tHe tHeOlOgIaN, private enterprise can't ignore the science.

Nor can they get away with faking the science, no matter how much the useful idiots (on all sides) say they do.

Instead, private enterprise live and die by real results.

And right now, the results of their government-coerced EV push are disappointing. The market isn't adopting EVs at the rate that they expected, which is why they're pulling back this year.

This may be a temporary hiccup, but my point remains. You can't get ahead of the free market. You can't drive demand with your mandates and your gas taxes and your anti-fossil-fuel policies and your big ass tax breaks for EVs.

The fundamentals remain largely unchanged.
