I do what I have to do to try and ensure the objectives are achieved. Instructions will be given to sell the position when I'm no longer around to manage the portfolio. SSO has beaten the market in every time frame I looked at. 5 day, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, 5 years and 10 year time frames. I don't know of another asset that has been that consistent, so why wouldn't I take advantage of that? It's the volatility that people fear. The word leverage scares a lot of people as well, but when I look at the underlying assets and the funds performance, and it blows me away. I do intend on keeping the position small though, unless it pulls a NVDA or SMCI.
