Oooo babeee! I got data.
Well, void though it may be of any real guidance or meaning, here's my first ever take on what I see w/WOW.
B-bands (20 day, 2SD's) show me nuthin'. Only pinch points were back on around Labor Day & Christmas. Both instances yielded breakouts to the upside; don't know if they coincided with PRs. Currently banding $0.15 to $0.30, reflecting recent price volatility. Wide band doesn't add anything to possibility of a breakout soon. By definition, a price originating at 1 band goes to the other, so unless the Bands expand, might expect a recent top @ $0.30.
The Chaikin Oscillator (CO) is flat possibly due to its dependence on volume changes (volume being fairly consistent lately) or my scale being blown out by some action in December. This is not a complete write off, however. In reading Chaikin on how to interpret the oscillator, he states that..."The most important signal generated...occurs when prices reach a new high or new low for a swing, particularly at an overbought or oversold level, and the oscillator fails to exceed its previous extreme reading and then reverses direction."I wouldn't call $0.28 a new high unless, or necessarily a swing; we'll see if tomorrow continues the advance. A McClellan summation (indicator of Overbought/Oversold status) shows a reversal/bottom (on 8 Feb) from an oversold status @ -300; it is currently rising and sits @ just below -200. As for the CO exceeding and reversing, I can't see too much action, again, might be just a scaling problem.
The price is currently above it's 21, 50, and 100 day moving average. That's good...real quality TA there...:-)...
I'm using this forum mostly to document what I see. I can't guarantee regular updates, nor do I profess to know what the heck I'm saying, as I'm just starting. I more than respect the time & effort involved in getting good at this sort of thing. I do hope to learn the importance of different indicators and how to orchestrate them into some decent semblance of a prediction...some day. I'm also open to any feedback on my take. I'll try to stick with IECS as my main guinea pig. I'll try to remember to preface my "TA" with a disclaimer in the first line so if it is meaningless to anyone they can skip it. I'll try to less long winded as I go. Thanks for your patience.
I guess I also need to thank my sources. My definitions are coming mostly from equis.com, until I can get a decent reference text. Otherwise, I'll try to credit quotes and sources in the body of my text. |
