<< Native bees were only effective for native vegetation that existed thousands of years ago, not the mono cultures we have today. >>

I wonder what a "native bee" is, and why it is "ineffective" ? -g-

If bees are healthy, I am fairly sure the three biggest bars in the histogram disappear, and then what are we left with? What's the big difference between locations that do have large natural bee populations and those that don't?

I don't know about the USA, but it's plain as daylight in the UK.

There could really be only one bar in that histogram, and if that goes, so do all the rest.

Worth looking into, I would say.

but Corporate America might not want you to do that, biz being what it is for the moment.

This is why "research" is often not really research most of the time. In many cases real research leads to places where the fund grantors had not intended to go.

Read up on some science history. It's a big portion of what goes on.

The same cannot be said for wild (or native) bees, which are responsible for pollinating the plants native to their environment. While commercial honey bees are adept at pollinating many different species, wild bees are more efficient at pollinating specific crops in their area.

Since most government data on bees focuses on commercial honey bee colonies, wild bee numbers are often neglected and suffer from Colony Collapse Disorder with little oversight. Many wild bee populations in localized areas have continued to decline steadily as a result.

How much have US bee populations fallen, and why? (usafacts.org)
