I think it's positive that someone did a valuation and found CMGI as correctly valued. Given the levels of other internet stocks it's actually lagging somewhat. I like how they're placing their bets in several places and their choice of Lycos as a main vehicle shows they can recognize good management. I just picked this one up at a pretty high price ($42) but I think it's going on my buy and hold list. Below are some stats from Baseline as of this morning: Price/Book Price/Sales ---------- ----------- AOL NM 6 YHOO 25 43 LCOS 15 21 XCIT NM 19 SEEK 11 11 CMGI 13 5 While CMGI isn't exactly a bargain at these levels it's not selling at nearly the valuations of the top three search engines. Not sure what "NM" means but this was shown instead of a number. SEEK is the least aggressive (some might say it's poorly managed) and its ratios are accordingly lower, yet still much higher than CMGI on price/sales. Phil
