Sun's prices fall, too, so I don't understand your point. "Share" can be measured by revenue -OR- box count (your "UNITS") -OR- seats served -OR- delivered MIPS -OR- assorted other metrics. I don't think this forum is any more of a "love fest" than it is the "hate fest" you would prefer. Oh, and BTW, I don't think your Information Week article supports the premise that HP has "been taking UNIX share from sunw;" at most it says HP has been recovering from recent mis-steps in the Unix market (and as a shareholder, I wish them well). JMHO.
