ETFs top a new landmark as globally they manage $12.25T in AUM

The first quarter of trading in 2024 will soon be in the books, with strength in the major market averages supporting an influx of capital into the exchange traded fund market. As a result, globally listed ETFs have seen their largest influx of investor capital in history through February.
ETFGI reported that the exchange traded fund industry surpassed another landmark moment, as assets invested in ETFs has now topped $12.25T as of the end of February. On a year-to-date basis, this space has attracted a net influx of $253.04B.
The $253.04B that has been pumped into the ETF world in 2024 is the most on record since 2021’s $224.30B and 2022’s $182.44B -- the second and third largest inflows through February. Furthermore, the injection of capital in February also marked the 57th consecutive month of overall monthly inflows.
The Global ETF industry now has over 12K funds, with over 24K listings, assets of $12.25T, from 735 providers listed on 80 exchanges in 63 countries.
