C*ATS Releases CARMA 2.0 Beta
Cats release CARMA 2.0 today in the Beta version. Commercial version will be released sometime in December 96. They expect Cats to be a top choice among banks and securities firms seeking open, scalable, high performance solutions for trading desk to enterprise-wide risk management. They also said that recent reports from the Tower Group estimate 1995 global spending on risk analytical tools to be $85 million, out of a total $252 million spent on enterprise wide risk management. They also expect risk analytics to grow at a 12 percent compound annual growth through 1999. I wonder how much of that 85 million spent they can get with CARMA. 10 percent would be nice. Sounds like a good product. Wonder how long it will be before they get it licensed to a significant number of customers. Of course the bid drops today to 4.625. Their has been a seller around for the last 2 months. It would be nice to see someone actually buy at the ask. Any other opinions on the news release. Did you sell your stock and I am the only one left holding it?
