Costs will need to be paid. It's only a question of who pays, and when. Fires, floods, more severe weather, crop destruction from global warming. Costs developed countries more. Minimizing avoidable costs contribute to the economy and wealth. Yes, all societies must solve sustainability if they are to compete and thrive in the future, and we are interrelated.
