I have sold my puts...trivial loss, was in at 2 1/4 out at 2. I think with not much nervousness (as I type this DELL is up to 112) the puts are not so good--four bucks out of the money, forget it--now the puts are overpriced! I have no desire to be impaled by raging bull's horns. My low earnings guess stands...but I am not brave enough to back it with money anymore. Good luck to you all this afternoon. Maybe if my General Magic goes up some more I will be able to afford a Dell PII--my 486 and 14" monitor don't look so good with the promise of 100mhz bus speed and Deschutes --and 17" monitors as cheap as they are now. CNBC has Scott Black on right now-- he likes Compaq, the Dell multiple being too high "an excellent company but it is definately overpriced". We all know it is overpriced, but that seems not to matter to "investors".
