'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
No one who does not believe this is true should ever be elected to office in this country.
Why? If you do not believe this is true then you believe our right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness is endowed by The Government. Our government becomes more Godless every day.
This is called in the Bible the "Great Transgression". It is the sin of presumption. It is the sin of taking for yourself the position held only by God. This is the height of arrogance and egotism.
It was the "Great Transgression" committed by Eve. Satan tempted her with this:

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

She led Adam to do the same.

So man continues to commit the "Great Transgression" when he presumes to be his own God.
Our government is rife with those who presume to take the position of God believing they are those who endow us with an alienable right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. They believe we have our rights at their pleasure. They believe they have the power and the right to withhold anything that does not meet their purpose. Their purpose is their own wealth and power. They do not govern at the pleasure of the governed.

A careful reading of Psalm 19 is warranted.

The full text of Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address is as follows: "Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us — that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion — that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain — that this nation shall have a new birth of freedom and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

We must not set by and quietly allow the government that Lincoln spoke of to perish from the earth.
That government and the nation it governs has been blessed by God to become the greatest nation the world has ever known.

All that is needed for evil to prevail is for good people to do nothing.
