SourceNet Corporation Launches Nevada's First High-Speed DSL Data Services Using Fujitsu/Orckit SPEEDPORT(TM)

RENO, Nev., Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- SourceNet Corporation announced today the availability of high-speed data services delivered over existing copper telephone lines using ADSL technology.

SourceNet has been conducting ADSL technical trials since early 1997, using equipment from various xDSL vendors. The company has recently purchased an initial quantity of the SPEEDPORT(TM) DSLAM (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer) developed jointly by Orckit Communications (Nasdaq: ORCTF) and Fujitsu Network Communications, Inc., to launch the first broadband Internet access and remote LAN access service across Nevada.
