Flat rate won't make AOL more subscribers. Most Global and Local ISPs are providing flat rate. For eexample:Sprynet:us$19.95/m. If a user really cares about the rate like me, they rather use ISP than AOL.
Of course, if AOL's flat rate is under $10, it may keep its clients.
However, it can't. Last year, I quited from Compuserve after they changes the rates. At that time I paid $9.95/month unlimited accessing free services. Now even if they offer the plan again, I will never be back Compuserve. I only can be cheated once.
