I agree with just about everything you have said in your post.

First of all, I am not a Trump supporter and will not vote for Trump.

No way is that going to happen.

Where I disagree with you is that an extremely high percentage of Americans, including the lower and middle class do fully understand that Trump tried to overthrow the government and he is presently trying to take full control of the Republican Party and will only use people in his Administration who are 100% devoted to him to carry out his orders.

The average American understands all this.

However, when the middle and lower income look back on Trump's first three years in office in comparison to what they have experienced and struggled with in terms of the rising cost of living under the Biden Administration, many prefer Trump.

These people view Trump as a lame duck President who will be gone in 4 years. They do not perceive the threat that Trump will try to extend his Presidency for another term after that.

In NYC, Michael Bloomberg extended his duties as Mayor for a third term, even though the people of NYC voted to restrict term limits for Mayor to two terms. Bloomberg got away with this because the City Council voted to allow him to run for another term. And Bloomberg was popular and won reelection for a third term by a very wide margin.

I think this election will boil down to the age old question raised by Bill Clinton in 1992:

Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?

I think the majority of the population will say no and vote for Trump.
