If you read the Zoran news, it says chip priced UNDER $30. Sounds like Cube and Zoran are priced about the same FWIW. Wednesday February 18 10:15 AM EST Zoran Signs New Licensing Agreements SANTA CLARA, Calif. (Reuters) - Zoran said it has licensed its digital video disc (DVD) decoding technology, called SoftDVD, to 10 makers of computer-related products. In a statement, Zoran said the companies are in the process of integrating the technology into their future graphics accelerator products for personal computers. Financial details of the agreements were undisclosed. SoftDVD is already being used by leading personal computer makers including Compaq Computer and Hewlett-Packard. Some of the new licensees include IXMICRO and ATI Technologies. Separately, Zoran unveiled a new design to add DVD capabilities to Intel's new Intel740 graphics chip for less than $30. Zoran Corporation develops and markets integrated circuits, integrated circuit cores and software for digital video and audio applications
