Kemp revealed his true character in that debate: he's still the college jock PE major, who thinks that serious study and preparation is unnecessary for him. He was totally unprepared, and we can only assume he takes his responsibilties very lightly. Even his reputation as an economic expert is hollow. He just repeats a mantra, and is incapable of actually discussing and analyzing economic arguments. He gets by because most people are illiterate in economic affairs, and Kemp is able to snow most everyone who listens to his repititious and endless patter. Maybe he's a Democrat mole, cleverly put in place to destroy the Stupid Party once and for all.
