Fund managers must have a lot of money to invest. If USA starts hurling missiles the market will tank so why don't they wait to invest till then?

I am done (hopefully) done trading individual stocks. Bought DIA this morning on the early morning dip, only to see the SPY move out ahead. Going to start day/position trading the SPY and the DIA - my training wheels for index futures. Emailed my broker (Ameritrade) to ask if I can short the SPY on a downtick they said no, so I forwarded the AMEX links that say "Yes you can short the SPY on a down tick". The broker's software will probably not fill my short order. Gonna have to raise Cain with 'em. Shouldn't I be able to sell my long shares and go short shares with one ticket?

We might see 8500 - 8700 by the middle of March. :} THEN SELL

I see Sue Herrara finally bought some Mousse.
