Given what you said, looks like my message is striking home.

Here is a little recap, as said by an American a while ago.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"This points to the biggest issue at stake in the trial. On the northeast wall of the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, is carved a short extract that Thomas Jefferson had drafted for a bill on establishing religious freedom. Its preamble provides the philosophical justification for why the First Amendment is ranked first:
truth is great and will prevail if left to herself; that she is the proper and sufficient antagonist to error, and has nothing to fear from the conflict unless by human interposition disarmed of her natural weapons, free argument and debate; errors ceasing to be dangerous when it is permitted freely to contradict them.
As Popper argued, free argument and debate are not only essential for the advance of scientific knowledge. They also constitute the fundamental requirement for the maintenance of a constitutional republic."
The Hockey Stick Trial: Science Dies in a DC Courtroom | RealClearEnergy
All the B/S spouted by the UN, the IPCC and the governments on "Climate Change" and "Disinformation" tells the real story as it is.
As soon as the government starts talking about "dangerous disinformation" when is comes to scientific matters you know for sure:-
(i) Science education is failing.
(ii) The government is lying, as it often is.
The Human Race faces challenges, and most don't have a clue what they are. The USA was a promising experiment to a general improvement, but today we need "to do better" to uphold the values set down by the originators. That is the best mark we could award ourselves today.
When free speech is outlawed, and we have an environment where (as set up by Hitlers Nazi Gestapo in the 1930's) neighbours are encouraged to snitch on neighbours on "speech crimes", we score a big failure mark. Think on that.
