Marc, I still have some shares (worthless) in my account and was hoping to hold off the tax loss to offset capital gain in 1998. Can I still do this or do I have to take the loss in 1997?

I was confused when you mentioned that the SEC considers them worthless and sold on 12/21/97. Can you elaborate on this point please. How can I take the loss in 1998?
