I see it as left right division intensifying and US possibly going into a crisis due to running high current account deficit for too long. The easiest fix is to crash asset prices which foreigners own, then buy them cheap from the foreigners. Foreigners own stocks as well as bonds. That way accumulated current account imbalance is erased. The crash won’t come before November though.
