Inode, Refute the most qualified individual in the country That's easy ...
Judge clarifies: Yes, Trump was found to have raped E. Jean Carroll (WaPo)
The jury found that Trump did indeed stick his fingers into her pussy without her consent.
That may not qualify under a narrow legal definition of "rape," but from how the general public understands sexual assault, it most definitely qualifies.
They include the extension of the statute of limitations, after it had already expired, which allowed the plaintiff to bring a quarter-century-old case. This is perhaps the only avenue through which Trump can win on appeal, by arguing against the constitutionality of NY's law.
However, the law wasn't passed specifically to "Get Trump." That's just Trump making everything about himself, as usual.
Instead, the law was passed in order to give sexual assault victims another avenue for legal recourse.
In any case, it's up to you to decide whether a statute of limitations should also protect the accused against civil lawsuits, not just criminal.
And while you're deciding that, you should also consider this: Trump could have avoided these defamation lawsuits if he simply STFU about ANYTHING that happened between him and Carroll.
Of course, as we all know, Trump is mentally incapable of STFU.
So the fact that he lost these two defamation lawsuits isn't proof that people are out to get him.
Instead, it's proof that he can't STFU and would rather pay $88M (after whining and crying about it incessantly on Tr00th Social) than do the smart thing.
