The world is filled with assholes whose common denominator is they all think they're smarter than the other guy.
Fixed.

In the case of Brandon, however, they are.

I'm sure Brandon used to be a smart, savvy politician. You don't build up a 50-year career in Washington without knowing how the political sausage is made.

But whatever smarts he built up over the years is now mostly gone. In its place is a persona, backed up by an establishment that needs him to simply be present without needing him to make any real leadership decisions whatsoever.
