Britbox original "Confessions of Frannie Langton" is a dark historical drama that really leaves the mystery unsolved until very near the end of its 4-episode span. Worth a look.

Other recent shows we tried were the Inspector Alleyn Mysteries (yawn) and The Hunt for Raoul Moat (bailed after one episode - just dark). "Cannes Confidential" was trying too hard to be another "Mallorca Files" without the same quirky charm.

One episode into "Hidden" with a complex set of characters jumping around in time, but it has potential for a good mystery.

We only gave "Mr. Bates vs. the Post Office" ten minutes. Didn't want to wade through 20 years of gratuitous misery to find that the UK PO did admit error eventually.
