It isn't mere semantics. There is some reason two jurors said, "Hell no. There was no rape." We cannot know why they said it, but it is fair to assume they did not agree there was a rape or penetration -- since any type of penetration would have been rape.

They took it into a far more nebulous realm of "sexual touching". WTF does that even mean? We know only that it DOES NOT encompass any form of penetration, or it would have been rape.

This was a negotiated finding -- meaning, that there was no meeting of the minds among jurors and beyond that we cannot ascertain exactly WHAT it means. For example, those two jurors MIGHT believe that Trump did nothing, but ought to have to pay just because. We can't know that -- because the one thing we do know is they didn't agree there was penetration.
