Yeah, I gettit, but for us non nuclear types, it was a good movie -g-

Actually I did complete a professional safety course on radioactive sources. We had small sealed sources at work. Scary chit. Just like electricity is. The reason why we can safely use electricity is the safety that is built into it. Lots of lesson learn since the 1880's.

Electricity is amazingly dangerous. Forty milliamps for a second through the human body and it's over usually. I recently had to instal a mains supply in a remote site. Just could not get a qualified electrician to do it. I learned recently that it's a common issue and a guy who runs a three phase Saw Mill had the same problem.

So I persevered. Fortunately, after we have been running the installation for a year or two, I finally got a suitably qualified electrician to look it over and quote to certify it.

The reason why Electricity is so safe is the regulation, thought, and skill set that went in to it for over a century. No skipping on the regulations either.

It's a pity the same discipline is not apparent in the business of finance.
