I've had a couple of them and never had the nerve to observe. I did wake up briefly during the first one, and I just might request that I be able to observe next time. They found polyps in both instances, which doesn't surprise me considering my family history. Because of the polyps, I'm required to get one every 5 yrs. I don't mind the prep too much...the alternative is definitely unacceptable. And I've developed a real taste for chicken broth. ;) I'm happy to see the American Cancer Society is now recommending people get one at 45 instead of 50. I just need to get those boys of mine in to get theirs. It's a very important goal I've set for myself.
