Yup, Old Testament malarkey... You have to remember most of the OT stories floated around for hundreds of years being told and refined around campfires in the desert. At some point they were codified and frozen in time with the invention of writing. All the OT stories got bigger in the telling, Jesus on the other hand existed in an age when documenting stories was common.
