here I am looking at LEG. this is more than a restructuring. I read the latest transcript, I was expecting to see words like challenging or very challenging instead i saw " deep recession". I am not sure that when the last time the home furnishings business has faced such a bad environment for them. People tend to buy more furnishings when they move into a new home, and because of the differential between new mortgage rates and rates people have on their existing mortgages that movement has been curtailed. I dont have the same confidence that you do that the current dividend will be maintained. Another current negative is that because the furnishings business is in such a slump the company is unlikely to be able to pass along increased production costs to their customers. I will put it on my watch list but a pass for me for now. OT here in the usa I am hearing more about white collar employees suddenly losing their jobs at major companies. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this.
