I am a believer is cleaning out ones own cupboard first before pointing out the state of a neighbours. However if you check your own neck of the woods, I expect to will find some similar horrors. It wasn't the British ... or white people in the West generally, who invented slavery. That has been around for a while. Britain was one of the first nations to outlaw slavery and there was a lot of criticism against the change in the law at the time.
