"The experiment showing no change in "oxygen levels" was a piece of disingenuous garbage news" It showed no change in saturation, but, if you do blood gases, you might see a small drop in the partial pressure, PaO2. The curve is pretty flat at the top. A PaO2 of 60 is still 90% saturation.
