Let's talk about the Republican party. Its only purpose for 100 years has been to help the rich. They do this by cutting their taxes, social programs, regulations and raping the public land. They cut social programs so the rich don't have to pay for them. The Republicans have kept the minimum wage at $7, which is nuts. They have a deal with their "traditional" supporters. You cut our taxes and help us make money and in return we will support your conservative values and culture like racism, sexism, homophobia, death penalty, etc. Now you may say, that is outrageous. But just look at what happened after the 1964 civil rights act outlawing segregation!!! The entire south went from being Dixiecrats to being Republicans. The Republicans went to the south and said :"support us and we will slow walk integration as much as possible"! That deal even has a name:" The Lee Atwood Southern strategy". You have made a deal with the devil. The Democratic party is the one that has saved the country with programs like:" The New Deal, Social Security, Medicare, unions and unemployment insurance and worker protection.
