I have been following U.S. Filter for several months now. The stock seems to be pretty solid and with the acquisition of Culligan Water U.S. Filter seems to have entered into the residential sector of the water industry. From what I understand, the CEO of the company, Richard Heckmann is quite a remarkable individual with a brilliant talent for building a company into a real money maker. I noticed that he is the cover story on Profit Magazine. It tells the whole U.S. Filter story from the ground floor up. You might want to pick up a copy of the publication and read the story. I found it very interesting. I subscribe to the magazine but you probably can find it at your local bookstore. If not Profit Magazine's number is 760-202-1545. I believe they are located in Southern California.
