There is plenty ignorance to go around.

It sure seems like Russia's attempts to expand the Warsaw Pact via invasions and election interference is more blatant than any NATO overtures. When I visited the former Soviet countries there was an overwhelming desire from those I met to have the opportunities the west offered, as opposed to any coercion.
