Who isn't? This is America. No Puritan ethic left. BUT most of them do try. I did construction 35 years, young inspectors sometimes overdid it to show they couldn't be bamboozeld... until they learned most contractors want to work with them.

At the end of my career inspectors were giving in too much too the flood of "designers" (housewives), demanding unreasonably unsafe fad items.

Nobody gets everything.

Again, a simplistic answer.

Why is this better? So one community can dump its toxic waste next to another? Like rich communities do? These blanket statement are simplistic. Life, POWER, aren't.
