Ever since Vladimir Putin became the Russian Federation's President he was insistent that the new Russia MOVE AWAY from the USSR's policies of the past, especially with regard to the Russian Federation's ECONOMIC POLICIES. Therefore Russia's market economy is far more EFFICIENT and RESILIENT than the USSR's ever was.
