Anytime Ukraine bombs or shells Russia, like on polling day, it just consolidates Putins power with the Russians. Not saying what's wrong or right, that is a fact.

Russia has been invaded by European powers a number of times, so they are wary of NATO, especially regarding the Crimea and Sevastopol and the vital Black Sea Port.

Russia was hit badly during the 19th century Crimea War, but the European Allies (mainly Britain & France) were very happy to negotiate a suitable peace as they soon had enough of war, fighting the Russians on their own territory.

The Russians "stole" back the Crimea in 1944 after the Germans "stole" it earlier in the same war. It wasn't stolen for free, a high price was paid for on both sides.

The Russians see the invasion of Ukraine as stopping a war that was already going on there, and there is some evidence of that.

Ukraine "democracy" at work. The arrogance is plain and evident. I am sure the Russians heard it too.

If you think Ukraine is a democracy consider:

-Victoria Nuland indeed picking Ukrainian Gov't (right after the CIA coup 2014)
-Biden bragging about getting Ukrainian prosecutor fired
-Zelensky banning 11 opposition parties

Fascism is corporate power and Government intertwined to form a (often brutal) dictatorship.

If you look at some of the video footage you will see it looks very much like a war. The coup of 2014 was a lot more violent then ..say... "Jan 6th" in the USA. I am hearing terrible stories about how bad that was, even though is was by Americans, not a foreign power. Unlike Ukraine.

There is good evidence that Russia and Ukraine were ready to make peace. However, corrupt UK politician, Boris Johnson (who was on a "best buddy" basis with nearly every criminal Russian Oligarch in London in earlier years), was sent out to scupper it, which he did.

I think a better job could be done negotiating with the Russians.
