I had some exchanges with DC and Dale yesterday on the SA Blog. Most of the posts were deleted, probably rightfully so. Those two do not bring the best out in me :-)

Anyway, as I laid by the pool thinking about the exchanges, I thought how different I feel about that blog v. BTs blog and its predecessors.

-With BTs blog (and predecessors), even tho we had great moderators, I always felt like those blogs belonged to the community that posted on them. While we all probably made some posts on those blogs we'd like to have back, I think we generally we kept it pretty much in tow out of respect for the community and moderators. We made extra effort to check ourselves initially, before posting something we likely knew was not in line with the community standards.

-With the SA Blog, I don't feel any sense of community, ownership or even a sense of responsibility to keep myself in check. At least not right now. Perhaps it will develop, who knows. I guess that is more about me than anything else.

I suppose this is my own Ode to the fallen blogs. RIP. I am probably going to stick with SI for now.
