In my personal portfolio, I consolidated our utility holdings last year by selling some and adding to others. I kept just 3 utilities .. SO .. NEE .. DUK.

The utility weighting within the portfolio stayed the same because the utilities I sold saw all of the proceeds go into these 3.

SO and NEE are outperforming the market YTD, and SO and DUK are hitting a 52 week high.

DUK is slightly underperforming the market YTD, but when you combine the 3 as one, the utility portion of our portfolio is beating the market YTD.

With all of the nukes now being operational with SO, having those problems in the rear view mirror indicated to me it should do well going forward.

SO is actually our largest "equity" holding.
