Hi Yard Man,

The dirty little secret about bond interest income is that in a lot of cases 41.0 % of that expense funnels right back into the government's coffers with the wealthy (who hold and roll over Treasuries).

Now that ZIRP is no longer around, and treasuries pay 5% plus, it has created a lot of folks who are suddenly getting a big boost in income, and that has kicked into much larger quarterly estimate payments.

Bottom line, deficit spending results in a lot of it coming back to the treasury, and the politicians cant help but spend it again.

It is an irresponsible addiction to spend and not consider save and pay down debt.

Bob
