pat: I thought I would add this contraian view on insider selling. I have followed many stocks on SI for over a year and whenever there is insider selling, the stock advocates on SI always find a reasonable excuse for why that is not necessarily a bad thing. And when I own the stock I usually find that I agree with these reasons that, after all there are many reasons why an insider might sell and perhaps it is not a bearish sign. That may be the case with the NN insiders but experience has taught me that facts is facts and if the insiders are selling there is probably a good reason. Now I know from various studies that insiders aren't as smart as most would believe and that as often as not their selling was not a wise move. Never the less if insiders are selling they believe the stock is headed lower or, at a minimum, its not going to rise very much.
Bottom line: NN may still be a good investment but don't fool yourself with the significance of these insider sales. They are an important barometer of NN sentiment from people in the know.
