The renewable business, imho, would fare better if left to more open market forces. National governments could encourage it using various strategies as oil and hydrocarbons generally do have issues. It makes a lot of sense to have energy generation close at home.

They don't have to go the full commie Josef Stalin though and turn into a compulsory 5 year plan etc. Just look how many times Mao Zedong screwed up with his "Top Down" edicts.

Capitalism is not a bad thing. Natural markets fine their own stability and are far smarter then any individual or organisation. The concept of money needs work, but capitalism is OK.

Same with EV's. Let the market make most of the decisions.
