His Enlightenment trend line was history. He said nothing to support any assumption, including mine all of my life, that it would continue, perhaps in fits and starts but continue. At the very end, he acknowledges that he doesn't know that it's still intact, specifically given the recent populist movement. And this presentation was from 2019.

My assessment of yesterday was that Enlightenment looks to have already hit its zenith. There is typically a gap between the time something dies and the death is recognized.
