He's pushing The Enlightenment, and selling a book on it, as well one should because it triggered and long supported wondrous things for humanity. No, he didn't assert, and I didn't suggest that he did. The presentation simply cut off at a point in time where that still seemed to be the case, back before the ill portents had clarified.
