I was around the London housing movement in the 1970's when Piers Corbyn looked like this.



He was a well-to-do student who had joined the IMG , the International Marxist Group. An easy target to attack as a hypocrite you might think, but in any argument he was no lightweight. Became a top notch science graduate to boot. That is where his opponents underestimate him, he does know science.

Here he is at a later date on "Climate Change". A reformed character, no longer a Marxist (or communist) but still a born trouble maker as the video illustrates.

Can't get the presentation on utube unfortunately. You will only see the first minute or two before the paywall goes up, I am not going to pay the subscription, but it gives the flavour and main thrust of his argument.
