I hope this subjects brings about an awareness that Oil and Gas exploration is well on its way to reducing the carbon footprint of the process. Fossil Fuels will be with us for a very long time. Much hype has over exaggerated the elimination of fossil fuels. In the history of energy sources, a transition to a new source has only been achieved when the replacing energy source had a higher energy co-efficiency rating. Wood to Coal, Coal to Fuel Oil, Fuel Oil to Natural Gas. Fortunately for the US we have a huge supply of natural gas and it is the cleanest of all past major RELIABLE sources. It also happens to be the lowest in cost to utilize in creating electricity while minimizing Green House Gasses. Until nuclear solutions are once again embraced and built out, natural gas will be the leading transition source for electricity generation. Nuclear is the only electricity source that has a greater co-efficiency of energy over all fossil fuels. The renewables with all of their benefits, have intermittency as a major adaptation obstacle. Accordingly their contribution to the nation's total grid will remain small on a total national percentage basis. ProPetro is a first to move on making the harvesting of crude and natural gas a cleaner alternative to anywhere else in the world. This is the result of their fracing division "FORCE" converting their 14 fracing teams to electricity instead of utilyzing diesel power. As a footnote with XOM's acquisition of Pioneer Natural Resources, they now are holders of 16,600,000 shares of PUMP, and are implementing PUMP's services for their now combined largest position in the Permian. XOM has recently signed a letter of agreement to use PUMP's services for their entire holdings in the Permian.
