I'm always amused when some 2 bit observer thinks THEY know better, having not seen all the evidence, than a jury of 12 people who have patiently listened and sifted through every second of evidence doing their duty as citizens sometimes for weeks, then debating the evidence, and finally coming to a difficult decision.

No decent citizen want to put an innocent person in prison. I did it once testifying against an armed robber. It wasn't easy. I immediately knew which person it was in a lineup but signing that document they give you is serious. I thought about it and asked to see the lineup again.

He held me up with a gun where I worked on Halloween. The pathetic loser was too stupid to wear a mask, I felt sorry for him... but a gun is a gun.

I'm always chagrined that some people care so little for justice they can make a knee jerk decision who's guilty based on nothing more than their own prejudices.

I guess that's what you mean is patriotism... sad for America there are so many of you.
