Do you really want to know why? There are a few reasons: (1) It helps pass the time during phone conferences (most of them occur after lunch, pacific time) (2) I am VERY, VERY interested in the psychology surrounding internet hype stocks. It fascinates me to no end. (3) Iomega was the third stock I ever owned. I bought for the first time in April 1995. Studying the stock is a vitally important part of my learning process. (4) It's fun! About research: On nights when my wife has to work the next day, I typically spend about 3-4 hours researching. (usually running numbers like crazy). If I'm happy with my portfolio (which I am now),I spend alot less time researching, and just hang out due to reason #1. I currently own: SMOD (they report after the close tomorrow), PPD, MDMD, CPQ and, of course, HWP. Good Luck! kp
